The Aztec Sci-Fi Multiverse: A New Map for 2026

The Myths and Gods of My Ancestors Are Here: Welcome to the Aztec Sci-Fi Multiverse

For years, I have been building a world where Mesoamerican mythology meets modern, 21st-century queer fiction. Today, I am thrilled to unveil the official map of that journey: The Aztec Sci-Fi Multiverse.
This isn't just a list of books—it is a portal into a shared reality where the lines between the page and the flesh are beginning to blur.
The 2026 Vision
As we look toward 2026, my work is evolving into something more visceral and multimodal. In my newest project, Our Lord of the Flowers, I am using my own body and photography to assert that these ancient myths are present in the digital age. The photos, essays and digital artifacts become part of the book itself. This is my vision of what the novel can become: an embodiment of text and identity.
How the Worlds Connect While each series can be read alone, they are all connected, sometimes sharing characters, places, or even mythical monsters like Cipactli or the giant snake creature Blue Hummingbird. Just like in nature, the connections are there if you know how to receive them.
- The Root: The ritual transformations in How to Kill a Superhero thinned the veil between worlds. This series is complete and is comprised of four novels.
- The Epic: That thinning allowed the secret cities of The Coil to bleed into the concrete of Chicago and Manhattan. When the series is all said and done, it will encompass nine novels.
- The Apex: Now, in Our Lord of the Flowers, the myth is fully embodied. This is a new standalone book that also lives as photographs and digital artifacts.
